About embrace
Embrace began as an idea between three Year 13 students from Glendowie College as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme. We created Embrace because we know firsthand how much period pain can affect everyday life. Our goal is simple: to provide comfortable, effective relief that helps people stay at school, work, sport, and everywhere in between. Thank you for supporting our journey and our mission to redefine period care.
Our Story
Hi there! We’re Olivia, Lauren and Milena, the founders of Embrace.
We created Embrace after recognising an issue that so many women and girls experience every month: period pain. We wanted to create a brand that could make a real difference, not just by offering a practical solution, but by changing the way period care feels.
We noticed that many existing solutions focused purely on function, without considering how women actually want to feel during their periods. We wanted something designed for us, made to fit into everyday life, and created to make us feel a little more comfortable and confident during a time that can already be difficult.
That’s where Embrace began. Our goal is to create period care that combines comfort, practicality and thoughtful design, while helping women and girls feel supported throughout their cycle. We believe period products shouldn’t just solve a problem, they should help you feel better in every way.
At Embrace, we want to make period care feel less clinical and more personal, positive and empowering. Because you deserve period care made with you in mind.
Powered by the YES Programme
Embrace is proudly part of New Zealand's Young Enterprise Scheme (YES), a nationwide programme that gives secondary school students the opportunity to build and run a real business. Through YES, we've gained hands-on experience in product development, marketing, finance, customer service, and teamwork. The programme has challenged us to think creatively, solve real-world problems, and grow both as business owners and as individuals.
